Ayurvedic Yoga Massage
Ayurvedic Yoga Massage (AYM) combines the benefits of a deep tissue oil massage with assisted yoga stretches performed on the floor. Each session varies based on the client’s needs, offering relaxation, energy, soothing effects or deep tissue work.

What to expect from an Ayurvedic Yoga Massage session
Long strokes with oil
A session begins with an oil massage using both hands and feet. This initial phase gradually warms up the body, softening muscle tissues and fascia. As a result, it relaxes both the body and mind, enhances breathing, and improves circulation. Consequently, you experience a deeper sense of relaxation and overall well-being.
Guided breath
You will be guided to breathe according to the massage movements. Breath awareness activates the parasympathetic nervous system helping to release tension and promote relaxation.
Assisted stretches
The massage incorporates gentle mobilizations, tractions, and assisted (passive) yoga stretches. These techniques help to functionally lengthen tissues, particularly if you’ve had previous injuries. Moreover, through these gentle movements, the tendons and ligaments gradually relax, and circulation significantly improves. As a result, you experience enhanced flexibility and overall comfort.
Sound healing
I integrate into the massage session a sound bath performed with a set of Himalayan Bowls. Himalayan bowls can be played directly on your back, legs, and arms and moved along your body to reach a deeper state of relaxation.

FAQ About Ayurvedic Yoga Massage
How often shall I have an Ayurvedic Yoga Massage?
To get the most benefit from your massage, aim for a session once per month. However, if you experience high levels of stress, chronic pain, muscle tension, or specific health conditions, consider scheduling a massage every two weeks. This more frequent approach can help address and alleviate ongoing issues more effectively.
What’s the best length for an Ayurvedic Yoga Massage treatment?
This varies depending on the individual, such as how quickly your body responds, how many areas require deeper work, and your specific priorities or goals for the session. For instance, if you aim to relax and enjoy a comprehensive full-body massage experience, then opting for 90 minutes is the best choice. Conversely, if you have specific focus areas or shorter time constraints, adjusting the duration might better suit your needs.
How do you feel after an Ayurvedic Yoga Massage?
After the massage, you will likely feel more centered and less agitated or restless. This improved state of relaxation often leads to greater mental clarity. Consequently, you may experience enhanced focus and a calmer, more balanced outlook. Additionally, the massage can help relieve built-up tension, further contributing to a sense of overall well-being and tranquility.
What does a massage session include?
Your appointment includes several important components. First, we will begin with a consultation where we discuss the health form you completed prior to the treatment. Additionally, I may spend some time on a thorough examination. Furthermore, the appointment also accounts for time to dress and undress, ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience throughout the session.
