Pregnancy and Post Natal Massage in East London
If you’re experiencing anxiety, stress, or simply want to reconnect with your changing body, pregnancy massage can offer exactly the support you need. This nurturing practice brings comfort and relief from some of the most common pregnancy discomforts: back pain, swollen legs, and muscle tension.
Regular prenatal and postnatal massage also supports your wider wellbeing. By stimulating oxytocin production, it can help improve labour outcomes and deepen the bond between you and your baby.
Sessions are available in the comfort of your own home across E4, E10, and E17, as well as in studio at Pause and East of Eden.
Eleonora trained in pregnancy and postnatal massage with Despina Psarra in 2021 and continues to attend regular CPD training days with Lynn Murphy and Yolanda Diver, ensuring her practice stays rooted in the latest knowledge and care.

How Pregnancy Massage Works

Before & on the day
Before the session, you will fill in a health form so I can prepare for your pregnancy massage in advance.
On the day, we’ll have a chat so you can share more details, not just about your pregnancy and how you feel in your body, but also emotionally. This is an essential part of the massage: a moment to connect with you and your baby.

The space
The pregnancy massage takes place on the floor, so you have all the space you need without the limitations of a massage bed.
We’ll use plenty of cushions so you feel cosy and held, while keeping a position that is easy and safe for me to work in.
Before we begin, we’ll take a couple of breaths together to ground and connect.

The sequence
The pregnancy massage is tailored to your needs. I’ll work through the whole body so you feel balanced and even at the end, while giving extra time to the areas that need a little more care. You are welcome to take breaks, use the bathroom, or have a sip of water whenever you need.
I don’t massage the belly because I deeply honour the bond you are building with your baby, and I prefer not interfere with that.

FAQ About Pregnancy Massage
How is pregnancy massage performed?
Pregnancy massage is performed on the floor lying on top of a mattress with pillows and cushions carefully positioned to guarantee the maximum comfort of the mum-to-be.
Being on the floor allows the body to be easily positioned in the cosiest way and increases the sense of grounding and safety.
What are the benefits of postnatal massage?
Getting a massage helps strengthen muscles and speed up the recovery of your body and posture. Additionally, it alleviates sore spots on the shoulders, lower back, and glutes. Furthermore, if you are experiencing ‘baby blues’ or postpartum depression, a massage can help decrease stress. Moreover, some ‘me-time’ through massage supports your mental well-being and boosts your mood.
Is it safe to get a pregnancy massage?
It has many fantastic benefits for both pregnant mothers and their babies. For instance, it helps you feel more in-tune with your body. Additionally, I tailor each treatment to the changing needs of pregnant women throughout the course of their pregnancy.
How soon after giving birth can you have a postnatal massage?
Following a vaginal delivery, you can receive a gentle postnatal massage as soon as you feel comfortable. However, after a caesarean delivery, wait between 4-6 weeks to ensure the scar is fully healed. Additionally, I recommend consulting your doula or doctor before booking a treatment. Furthermore, please inform me of any medical conditions you may have.

“I couldn’t recommend the Couples Massage Workshop hosted by Eleonora more. My husband and I took it while I was 5.5 months pregnant with twins. Eleonora made sure to give us practical adjustments to make the session more comfortable and safe for my growing body. We learned simple yet impactful techniques that we could use on each other. The real impact for us was having a safe and peaceful environment where we could reconnect physically and emotionally with each other. ” – Adriana
What other mums say
Clementine
“Highly recommend booking a massage with Eleonora. A very unique, and exceptional style. I’m currently 38 weeks pregnant and she was fantastic at catering to my specific needs. I felt well supported. I love the fact that the massage takes place on the floor and she’s able to visit you at home. Will be back!“
Stephanie
“I had the most amazing massage with Eleonora. I was having quite bad pelvic and shoulder pain. By 37 weeks was finding my body felt sore and stiff. By the end of the massage, I felt rejuvenated and relaxed. The tension in my shoulder was so much better. She was wonderful and made me feel very calm and comfortable.“
Katherine
“‘I really enjoyed my prenatal treatment. It was a very calming and relaxing massage, but also firm (as requested!). I felt absolutely wonderful afterwards with lots of knots in my back worked out. On top of that, she is very professional, friendly, and happy to work around a limited home space.“
