Why Corporate Wellness Is a Must for B Corp Scoring

If you’re an HR professional, director, or management lead in a company that’s B Corp certified or applying for certification, you’re likely feeling the pressure from the new B Impact Assessment (BIA).

You’re expected to do more than just talk about employee wellbeing. You now need to prove that you’re actively investing in it with measurable, reportable action.

And I understand how challenging that can be. Before I transitioned into the wellness space, I worked full-time in an office. The company I was with began applying for B Corp certification while I was there, so I saw first-hand just how much time, energy, and thought it takes to meet the requirements, especially when it comes to the “Workers” impact area.

What’s Changed: New B Corp Requirements Around Worker Wellbeing

B Lab’s updated standards place much stronger emphasis on how companies support their employees: physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Specifically, the new BIA calls for:

  • Proactive support for mental and physical health
  • Actions that foster psychological safety and belonging
  • Systems for employee engagement and feedback
  • Evidence of workplace culture initiatives
  • Proof that wellbeing is part of strategic governance

How My Wellness Programs Help You Meet These Standards

Here’s how I help HR and leadership teams take clear, strategic action toward B Corp compliance:

FW4 – Workplace Culture

Requirement: Foster belonging, psychological safety, and wellbeing

My sessions (yoga, breathing techniques, sound healing) create regular space for calm, connection, and mental clarity, helping shift culture in a meaningful, trackable way. To ensure my wellness practice is inclusive and sensitive to diverse needs, I completed a Trauma-Informed Practice CPD with the Association for Psychological Therapies, as well as a Trauma-Sensitive Yoga Skills course at The Minded Institute. Programs can be tailored to support specific EDI goals, including psychological safety, mental health, and inclusive workplace wellbeing initiatives.

Workers Impact Area – Health & Engagement (up to 50 points)

Requirement: Invest in staff health, morale, and satisfaction

My classes and workshops reduce stress, improve physical posture and mental focus, and provide consistent support that’s easy to log and report in your BIA submission. My sessions can also include post-session anonymised impact surveys

WC1/WC2 – Feedback & Action

Requirement: Gather employee input and show it led to action

I work with teams to tailor sessions based on staff surveys, ensuring you meet requirements around feedback-driven initiatives.

Stakeholder Governance

Requirement: Embed wellbeing in business strategy and values

Ongoing wellness programming demonstrates that you’re turning your values into strategy and actively fulfilling your governance responsibilities to employee stakeholders. I offer structured, evidence-informed programs that can be integrated into leadership reviews, ESG reports, and B Corp assessments supported by relevant data, participation metrics, and peer-reviewed studies highlighting the proven effectiveness of wellness practices.
